Meet Anja and Ashley Jones, owners of Feine Cashmere, who have lived in Shanghai for over 20 years, with their 2 children. For their 50th birthday celebration, Anja and Ashley chose somewhere special where all their friends could gather and celebrate with them in one of the most beautiful destinations – Phuket, Thailand.
Luxury Events Phuket was hired to produce this wonderful celebration.
Both Anja and Ashley were happy to share their thoughts and impressions from the event with us.

The 4 day long birthday celebration was attended by 50 guests from all over the world – China Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Scotland, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland and Spain! Most of the guests were their friends from school and university or new friends they made while living in Shanghai.

The whole event, including design, decorations, activities, menus and signature cocktails was handled and organized by Luxury Events Thailand perfectly coordinated the guest transfers, room allocation and moving everyone from villa to villa for the various events.
This perfect organization and coordination of the event made it easy for Anja and Ashley to have nothing to worry about except relax and enjoy each day with their guests. The guests stayed at the Sava Beach Villas for the entire four days of the celebration and there’s no doubt that their stay in these lovely villas made their experience even more memorable.
There was loads of positive energy flowing through all four days of their celebration! Each night was themed differently with table decoration, food, menus and cocktails, beginning with the colorful Thai Curry Night, followed by the Beach Goddess/Sea Follies evening to the main event “Bling it On” and finally the boat trip to the “Secret Beach”.

In Anja and Ashley’s case, this was no different. All meals were prepared by Chef Noi from Suay Restaurant and who was also Iron Chef Thailand for 3 years. The first night was a selection of traditional Thai curries, followed by a Thai BBQ evening and on to the main event which was a gastro 4 course Thai inspired menu with the chef’s signature dishes. One of the favorites was Grilled Lamb Chops with Lemongrass, Coconut Gnocchi & Papaya Salsa. The guests loved it all! The cocktails were in theme with Thailand with a twist on a classic …. Mango Mojitos and Lemongrass Martinis.

Their cocktails were excellent, their team had super energy enhancing the wonderful atmosphere of the party and the champagne was ALWAYS ice cold!

Ashley ordered the champagnes and wines, with different wines to be served on different days. His request to the bar staff was that the champagne was to always be ice cold, so that at any time of the day that he wanted to drink champagne, it was ready!! The bar team did an amazing job and worked tirelessly with early starts and late nights.
There were endless surprises for the guests. On the day of the main event, hair and make up artists were arranged for the ladies so they would be looking their “glam best” that night, while the boys headed off to play golf. One morning a yoga teacher held an early morning class for those that didn’t party too hard the night before and an entire day was set aside with a “Games Master” who conducted the most fun team sports for everyone, ending with a prize giving, not forgetting the 2 mermaids that appeared poolside one evening!!
The guests could also enjoy the performances of fire spinners, and a DJ who kept the party going every night until the late hours! After four days of non-stop celebrations, the guests were supposed to leave on the fifth day, however, Anja says that many of them stayed for a couple more days because they loved it so much that they didn’t want to leave!
